As the central organisation for promoting inbound tourism to Germany, the GNTB works closely with the German travel industry and private-sector partners and trade associations to develop strategies and marketing campaigns that promote Germany’s positive image abroad as a travel destination and attract international visitors.  The aim is to unlock future commercial potential and thus add value to the German economy. The GNTB’s primary strategic areas of action include targeted market research, analysis of global travel trends and market-specific customer demand, and the drive toward digital transformation while supporting the German travel industry, which is dominated by small and medium-sized businesses.

  • Enhancing awareness of Destination Germany with a focus on digital transformation

Our brand profile ‘Germany. Simply inspiring’ highlights Germany as a high-quality, service-oriented, and inclusive travel destination.

Germany continues to hold its place as Europeans’ number one destination for cultural tourism, bolstered by a growing interest in city breaks, cultural experiences, and touring holidays. Key decision-making factors such as value for money, safety, and mild climate continue to position Germany positively among international travellers.

Why we sponsor the Summit

Tourism plays a key role in cultural exchange between our two nations, and we are looking forward to the opportunity to engage with leaders from business, policy and culture to strengthen our bilateral ties and support the organisation’s broader mission of positioning Germany as a dynamic, sustainable, and attractive destination for visitors, investors, and business partners.

Statement from the German National Tourist Office

“Tourism is a vital link between our two countries, and we are therefore excited to take part in the German British Business Summit. We look forward to fostering dialogue, deepening cooperation, and jointly showcasing Germany as a place where culture, business, and innovation meet.”
