About British Chamber of Commerce in Germany
The British Chamber of Commerce in Germany (BCCG) is a privately financed corporate network with around 600 members and more than 6,000 personal contacts engaged in business and bilateral trade. Since its establishment in 1919, its mission has remained consistent: to promote the business and commercial interests of Germany and the United Kingdom reciprocally and to develop and strengthen links between the two nations.
Today, it stands as one of the most influential international business networks in Germany and the largest British-German business association in Europe. Its membership is comprised of representatives and leaders from businesses across Germany and the UK. For more than a century, the organisation has coordinated initiatives to foster business development, building bridges that support a prosperous partnership between the two countries.
In their own words
The British Chamber of Commerce in Germany (BCCG) is one of the largest and most established British chambers in Europe, with roots stretching back to 1919. As a non-profit business network, it represents approximately 600 members across a wide range of sectors, including multinational corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, professional associations, and individual business professionals. The BCCG is dedicated to promoting trade, investment, and collaboration between the United Kingdom and Germany, providing an influential forum for dialogue, advocacy, and strategic partnerships. Through its regional chapters across Germany, the Chamber enables members to engage directly with key decision-makers, policymakers, and business leaders in both countries.
A central focus of the BCCG’s activities is enhancing the bilateral business corridor. The Chamber supports companies seeking to expand into the UK or Germany by providing practical insights on market entry strategies, regulatory requirements, policy updates, and business opportunities. Through a rich calendar of events, publications, and policy advocacy, the BCCG fosters a deeper understanding of the respective business environments and assists members in navigating the evolving trade and investment landscape. Its initiatives encourage cross-border collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and sustainable business growth between the two nations.
The German British Business Summit on 15 October takes place at a crucial moment in UK-German relations, as both countries pursue new avenues for partnership in areas such as sustainability, digital transformation, innovation, and international trade. As a proud co-organiser and active supporter of the Summit, the BCCG highlights its commitment to providing a high-level platform for constructive exchange, relationship-building, and strengthening mutual trust between business communities in the UK and Germany.
Why we sponsor the Summit
For the BCCG, the Summit represents a unique opportunity to convene influential voices from business, politics, and civil society, fostering dialogue that drives collaboration and long-term economic growth. The event allows the Chamber to advance its mission of reinforcing the bilateral business relationship and creating a resilient framework for partnership that benefits companies on both sides.
