In their own words
Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) is the international economic development agency of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Its mission is to promote Germany as an attractive business location and to support both German and international companies in establishing, expanding, and managing their operations. Through a combination of market information, consulting services, and guidance on legal and regulatory matters, GTAI provides businesses with practical tools to navigate complex economic and policy environments.
The agency’s work covers a broad spectrum of activities aimed at fostering international business relationships and facilitating economic development in regions of Germany undergoing structural change. GTAI assists international companies in market entry, investment planning, site selection, and risk assessment, helping them identify opportunities and make informed decisions. By offering specialist advice and connecting businesses to relevant networks, GTAI ensures that firms have the support needed to operate efficiently and compliantly across borders.
GTAI maintains offices throughout Germany, more than 60 locations abroad, and a wide network of global partners. Its industry specialists provide targeted support to companies seeking to enter the German market, attract foreign investment, and engage in cross-border projects. By combining international perspective with local expertise, GTAI enables businesses to understand regional markets, identify potential partners, and respond to sector-specific trends and regulatory requirements.
From its London office, GTAI plays a pivotal role in strengthening the economic relationship between Germany and the United Kingdom. It informs German companies looking for business opportunities in the UK and supports British and Irish firms seeking to enter Germany. By facilitating these connections, GTAI helps companies seize new commercial opportunities and enhances bilateral trade and investment flows between the two countries.
The German British Business Summit on 15 October provides an important forum for GTAI to engage with business leaders, policymakers, and institutions from both nations. The Summit allows GTAI to share insights into the German market, highlight investment prospects, and foster dialogue on international economic cooperation.
Why we sponsor the Summit
GTAI supports the Summit because it provides an opportunity to engage directly with companies, policymakers, and other stakeholders involved in UK-German trade and investment. The event allows the agency to share insights, facilitate dialogue, and highlight practical approaches to cross-border business, while reinforcing Germany’s position as an attractive and reliable destination for investment and commercial collaboration.
